Henry Waters Taft (B.A. 1880, S&B 1880)

Partner of Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft [white shoe S&B law firm in New York City] (1899-1945)

Alphonso Taft was a Bonesman alongside William H. Russell in the Class of 1833.

In 1842, the British stole Hong Kong from China in an Opium drug-deal called the Treaty of Nanking.

The Russell family who controlled the US arm of the Rothschild drug smuggling operation, set up the Skull and Bones fraternity at Yale University.

America's 1% families formed the fraternity's inner power circle.

Taft, Russell, Schiff, Harriman, Bush, Warburg, Guggenheim, Rockefeller, Stimson, Weighouser, Vanderbilt, Goodyear and Pillsbury were all members.

These families intermarried over the generations to form America's big money aristocracy. Skull and bones member Alfonso Taft catapulted his son William Taft right into the top job at the White House.

17TH AMENDMENT

President Taft's 17th. Amendment to the US Constitution guaranteed the right of big-money insiders to hand-pick Senators and buy control of the US Senate. Today, the most influential members of the CIA, the US Government, and big finance are Skull and Bones men.

As U.S. Attorney General in 1876-77, Alphonso Taft helped organize the backroom settlement of the deadlocked 1876 presidential election. The bargain gave Rutherford B. Hayes the presidency (1877-81) and withdrew the U.S. troops from the South, where they had been enforcing blacks' rights.

Young William Howard Taft at Yale (S&B 1878) was U.S. President from 1909 to 1913 and the only man who has served as both President and Chief Justice of the United States.

His father, Alphonso Taft (S&B co-founder 1833) was appointed Secretary of War by President Ulysses Grant, and later U.S. Attorney General. As Attorney General, Alphonso helped fashion the commission that decided who won the 1876 election. The commission found in favor of Rutherford B. Hayes, a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon, (DKE), originally a junior secret society at Yale, and the only national Greek letter fraternity initially founded at Yale. In 1882, Alphonso was appointed U.S. Minister to Austria-Hungary. He then moved to Russia for two years, leaving in 1886. He died in 1891. His son, William Howard Taft, appointed by President McKinley, to be the first civil governor of the Philippines, displaced a disgruntled General Arthur MacArthur (General Douglas MacArthur's father) who had been the military governor.

President Taft made Henry L. Stimson (S&B 1888) his Secretary of War (1911-13).

Stimson was appointed to high government posts by seven presidents. He was Governor General of the Philippines (1926-1928), Secretary of State under President Herbert Hoover (1929-1933) and Secretary of War under Presidents Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Harry S. Truman (1940-1946). He was "ultimately responsible" for the internment of Japanese-American citizens in WWII and oversaw the Manhattan Project, America's atomic bomb program. Stimson also took credit for swaying Truman into dropping "the bomb" on Japan. Henry groomed a generation of "cold warriors," in what was known as "Stimson's Kindergarten". Among Stimson's students were General George C. Marshall, John J. McCloy, Dean Acheson (DKE), three "Bonesmen" from the Bundy family, and Robert A. Lovett (S&B 1918).

Alphonso Taft moved to Cincinnati in 1840, where he was a crony of James Handasyd Perkins, whose grandson, James H. Perkins, was chairman of the board of the National City Bank and president of the Farmers Loan and Trust. During the 1920s, Farmers became a major stockholder in the American Tobacco Company, and James H. Perkins was on American Tobacco's board of directors between 1926 and 1929. Perkins maintained the family ties with the Taft family as a crony of Alphonso's son, Henry Waters Taft (S&B 1880) who was on the advisory committee of Yale's Institute of Human Relations. His brother, Thomas Nelson Perkins, was a Fellow of the Harvard Corporation, which runs Harvard University. In 1922, the Office of Cancer Investigations of the US Public Health Service at Harvard University (which was subsequently merged into the National Cancer Institute), was established at Harvard by Assistant Surgeon General Joseph W. Schereschewsky, who was a member of the Hygiene Reference Board of the Life Extension Institute. Former President William H. Taft (S&B 1878) was chairman of the board of the Life Extension Institute, which was formed in the boardroom of the Guaranty Trust in 1913. Its driving force was anti-smoker Irving Fisher (S&B 1888), and its purpose was to recruit the most powerful businessmen in the country into a conspiracy to impose health fascist tyranny on America.

Alphonso Taft  was the founder of an American political dynasty, and a Bonesman alongside William H. Russell in the Class of 1833. He descended from Peter Robert Taft who had migrated to America from England in 1640 and Alphonso was the father of President William H. Taft.

William Taft was elected President of the United States in 1909.

During his administration, lawmakers sent Constitutional amendments to the states which provided for the direct election of Senators and a Federal Income tax. The foundation for the Federal Reserve System was laid during Taft's administration and was signed into law furtively by his successor, Woodrow Wilson on Christmas Eve 1913. W. H. Taft was appointed Chief Justice of the Supreme Court by President Harding in 1921, and served until his death in 1930. Teddy Roosevelt (DKE), who became president after McKinley's assassination, appointed Taft to serve as Secretary of War (1904-08). While Secretary, he was the "master overseer and troubleshooter" for the Panama Canal; provisional governor of Cuba; and acting Secretary of State, while the Secretary of State John Hay was ill.

Charles Richard Crane, an International Machiavelli

In 1909, Charles R. Crane was nominated by President Taft to be Minister to China. "Mr. Crane has had large experience in foreign affairs, and has been seventeen times to Russia and speaks Russian. His uncle, Prof. Williams, was Professor of Chinese at Yale and wrote a book on China." (President Taft Delighted. New York Times, Jul. 17, 1909.) However, he was recalled by Sec. Knox just as he was about to board the boat for China.

7/24/15 TAFT FAMILY INTO THE MARIJUANA BUSINESS

Brothers Woody Taft, a private equity investor, and Dudley Taft Jr. are the great-great-grandnephews of President William Howard Taft  would own marijuana farm.  They are cousins to Sen. Robert A. Taft Jr. of Ohio and former Ohio Gov. Robert A. Taft III.

Woody Taft , a private equity investor, and Dudley Taft Jr., two scions of the city's storied Taft family have invested in the Butler County Ohio property that would serve as one of the 10 marijuana-producing farms should voters legalize marijuana in November.  Brothers Woody Taft, a private equity investor, and Dudley Taft Jr., a noted local musician.
Woody Taft is vice president of development at the Taft Broadcasting Co. and a trustee of the Louise Taft Semple foundation, which awards $1.5 million annually to southwestern Ohio education and arts organizations.  Woody Taft also said, "Marijuana is in our community to stay, but these potential tax dollars are delivered to a black market that fosters crime and violence. It's time for Ohio to reform this failed prohibition and replace it with a safe, legal market for marijuana."
Dudley Taft Jr., a graduate of Berklee College of Music, is a professional guitar player. He's going on tour in April to Europe and is working on his next album. On his website, he bills himself as "a thinking man's blues rocker." He recently purchased Peter Frampton's former home and studio in Cincinnati, where he now lives.  In the ResponsibleOhio statement, Dudley Taft said, "It's appalling that black Ohioans are four times more likely to be arrested for marijuana than white Ohioans, even though both groups use it equally. It is irresponsible to allow such an unjust system to continue. ResponsibleOhio's plan will take critical steps forward by eliminating the injustices of draconian marijuana laws."
The Butler County farm would be located on 40 acres in Middletown, northwest of the intersection of Todhunter and Yankee roads. The site is about 1.5 miles northwest of Monroe Senior High School.  Bolander said she would not discuss the amount of the Taft investment or whether the Tafts are contributing to the ballot campaign. "They're part owners of the company that would be managing the Butler County facility.
