Princeton has its "eating clubs," especially Ivy Club and Cottage Club, whose oligarchical tradition runs from Jonathan Edwards and Aaron Burr through the Dulles brothers. At Harvard, there is the ultra-blue-blooded Porcelian (known also as the Porc or Pig club); Theodore Roosevelt bragged to the German Kaiser of his membership there; Franklin Roosevelt was a member of the slightly "lower'" Fly Club.

A few of the early initiates in Skull and Bones went on to careers in obvious defiance of the order's oligarchical character; two such were the scientists Benjamin Silliman, Jr. (Skull and Bones 1837), and William Chauvenet (Skull and Bones 1840). This reflects the continued importance of republican factions at Yale, Harvard and other colleges during the middle three decades of the nineteenth century. Silliman and Chauvenet became enemies of everything Skull and Bones stood for, while the Yale secret group rapidly conformed to the Russells' expectations.

Yale was the northern college favored by southern slave owning would-be aristocrats. Among Yale's southern students were John C. Calhoun, later the famous South Carolina defender of slavery against nationalism, and Judah P. Benjamin, later Secretary of State for the slave owners' Confederacy.

The very powerful Dulles family forged their heavy political connections through the various secret societies they were members off over multiple generations. The family played a key role in politics and especially in the CIA.

Joseph Heatly Dulles, while not working for the House of Russell in direct opium-smuggling, was instead involved in the slave trade until relocating to South Carolina and Pennsylvania. Because the British East India Company was involved in both opium-smuggling and slave-shipping, and because he was at Yale, we find it easy to understand that J. H. Dulles would have been in contact, directly or indirectly, with those New England Tory Houses who were in business with the opium-smuggling aspect of the East India Company, and we now know that J. H. Dulles was a member in a secret society at Yale. It is from those early associations that we today draw the parallels which may be seen by association as a, perhaps - or perhaps not - un-organized collusion. From such roots sprang Allen Welsh Dulles and John Foster Dulles.

Young South Carolinian Joseph Heatly Dulles, whose family bought their slaves with the money from contract-security work for the British conquerors in India, was in a previous secret Yale group, the "Society of Brothers in Unity.'' At Yale Dulles worked with the Northern secessionists and attached himself to Daniel Lord; their two families clove together in the fashion of a gang. The Lords became powerful Anglo-American Wall Street lawyers, and J.H. Dulles's grandson was the father of Allen Dulles and John Foster Dulles.

Among the early initiates of the order were Henry Rootes Jackson (S&B 1839), a leader of the 1861 Georgia Secession Convention and post-Civil War president of the Georgia Historical Society (thus the false accounts of the "good old slavery days'' and the "bad northern invaders''; John Perkins, Jr. (S&B 1840), chairman of the 1861 Louisiana Secession Convention, who fled abroad for 13 years after the Civil War; and William Taylor Sullivan Barry (S&B 1841), a national leader of the secessionist wing of the Democratic Party during the 1850s, and chairman of the 1861 Mississippi Secession Convention.

The insidious impact of the Dulles Brothers on U.S. Foreign Policy can be seen in the excerpt below. They directly and indirectly played key roles in nurturing the Nazi regime in Germany through their influence in finance and foreign policy.

The notoriety occured when the diary of William E. Dodd, Roosevelt's Ambassador to Germany during the rise of Hitler, was published. It contained this item for Jan. 24, 1936: "John Foster Dulles, who writes for the 'American Magazine' on foreign affairs but who is connected with a large banking business in New York, reported... 'My sister lives here. She is an enthusiastic Hitlerite, and anxious to show me the German attitude for Peace. So we went this afternoon to the movie Unter Wehrmacht, which she said was proof of the German desire for peace. I sat through the show, but the war planes, big guns, pictures of violent attacks on citizens and the enthusiastic attitude of Hitler, Goering and Goebbels, as they stood looking at the devastating work, took from my mind all thought of peace as an object of the show.' Dulles said he could not understand his sister's attitude, and added that such a display in the U.S. would have been hissed off the screen." That year, 1936, was when Hitler marched his new army into the Ruhr and the Rhineland. In 1934, a year after Hitler came into power, Miss Dulles' husband, Prof. David Blondheim, committed suicide. He was Jewish. Mrs. Blondheim resumed her maiden name after that, taught in various women's colleges, and in the late fall of 1952, just after Eisenhower was elected, turned up at the State Department in the office of Jimmy Riddleburger, then in charge of the German desk, to ask for a job. "My brother says that if I get a job while the Democrats are in, he can keep me on when he becomes Secretary of State," she explained. "Otherwise he can't hire me." Riddleberger gave her a job as adviser on German affairs. Shortly thereafter, he shot up the promotion ladder to become an ambassador. Miss Dulles remained the key German adviser to her brother during his career as Secretary of State. She was strong, persistent, and persuasive in her views. The impact of the Dulles family will long be felt on the world, especially Germany and the United States. John Foster Dulles had represented the New York banks which were pouring money into Germany after World War I, later defaulted. His brother Allen, later Head of Central Intelligence, represented the J. Henry Schroder Banking Corporation, whose head in Germany was Baron Kurt Von Schroeder. It was at Schroeder's home in Cologne that Hitler had his secret meeting with Franz Von Papen in January, 1933, which led to the advent of the Nazi Regime. It was Allen Dulles who sent the U-2 over Russia just before the Paris Summit Conference, an incident which further postponed a Berlin settlement and knocked the Khruschev- Eisenhower Camp David spirit into a cocked hat. With the resignation of Allen Dulles from Central Intelligence last summer and the quiet departure of Eleanor Dulles this month the Dulles family is now out of government. But, for better or for worse, their policies live after them."

Henry Luce, the Media Mogul from Skull and Bones had a Media Empire that represented the "who's who" of various powerful secret societies and elite power networks to propogate the ideology of the American corporate aristocracy.

1922 Morgan bankrolled Luce and he formed Time Inc. then launched the business magazine Fortune in February 1930 and founded the pictorial Life magazine in 1936, and launched House & Home in 1952 and Sports Illustrated in 1954. He also produced The March of Time for radio and cinema. By the mid 1960s, Time Inc. was the largest and most prestigious magazine publisher in the world. Luce tapped numbers of his friends from his secret brotherhood to create and run what would become a propaganda empire. In 1930, for example, Luce chose Russell Davenport, an intimate Bonesman, to become Fortune magazine's first editor-in-chief. Initial members of the board of directors of Time included Henry P. Davison, Jr., a fellow classmate and Bonesman, whose father was a senior partner at J.P. Morgan. Davison brought in Dwight Morrow, another Morgan partner, to finance the start-up. Morgan interests were further strengthened, when in 1927, John Wesley Hanes was placed on the board. Start-up funding also came from William Hale Harkness, a board member, who was related to Rockefeller partner Edward S. Harkness. Luce's personal lawyer, who would come to represent his entire media empire, was his brother-in-law Tex Moore, of Cravath, deGersdorff, Swaine and Wood, the same firm which deployed both Allen and John Foster Dulles to facilitate bringing Hitler to power in the early 1930s. Appearing before business groups, he promulgated the idea that America's corporate and banking elites were more powerful and important than the U.S. government, stating, "It is not a seat in Congress but on the directorate of the greatest corporations which our countrymen regard as the greater post of honor and responsibility." Likening America's financial tycoons to Europe's aristocracy, he featured both in the pages of Fortune magazine. Feb. 7, 1941 issue of Life magazine, founder and publisher Henry Luce authored and signed an editorial, "The American Century," Luce wrote: "We must accept whole-heartedly our duty and our opportunity as the most powerful and vital nation in the world and in consequence to exert upon the world the full impact of our influence, for such purposes as we see fit and by such means as we see fit." He died in 1967 and he was said to be worth $100 million in Time Inc. stock. Most of his fortune went to the Henry Luce Foundation.

Then, a nation-chilling assassination, some time under LBJ with the Bundy boys keeping things in line, then Nixon as President with "Bonesmen" aides Ray Price and Richard A. Moore. Some time out for a Trilateralist-Democrat-patsy president, followed by Prescott's son as an activist vice-president under Reagan. Next, we get a Skull and Bones president who declares a "New World Order" while beating up on his business partner, Saddam Hussein.

Rodney Stich's book "Defrauding America" tells of a "deep-cover CIA officer" assigned to a counter-intelligence unit, code-named Pegasus. This unit "had tape-recordings of plans to assassinate Kennedy" from a tap on the phone of J. Edgar Hoover. The people on the tapes were "[Nelson] Rockefeller, Allen Dulles, [Lyndon] Johnson of Texas, George Bush and J. Edgar Hoover."

BROWN BROTHERS BANK

Two partners of WA Harriman and Co.' were Prescott Bush (S&B 1917) and his father-in-law, George Herbert "Bert" Walker. There were many other "Bones" directors and partners, including three from Prescott's class of 1917.
In 1919, Prescott Bush moved to St. Louis after accepting a job offer from Wallace E. Simmons (S&B 1890) in his railroad equipment company. That autumn Prescott met Dorothy, Bert Walker's daughter. That same year, Averell—who needed someone with strong international financial dealings—implored upon Bert to organize The WA Harriman & Co. Averell's brother, Roland "Bunny" Harriman (S&B 1917), was co-owner. Percy Rockefeller (S&B 1904) was a founding financial sponsor and director.
Prescott and his young family went to Connecticut in 1925,where he worked at the Harriman-controlled US Rubber Corp. Then, in 1926, his father-in-law Bert, president of WA Harriman & Company, made Prescott a vice-president. After the firm merged with Brown Brothers and became Brown Brothers, Harriman, Prescott was the managing partner.
On October 20 of 1942, ten months after Pearl Harbor, the US government ordered the seizure of "all the capital stock of the Union Banking Corporation, a New York corporation," by the US Alien Property Custodian. The government order stated "all of which shares are held for the benefit of … members of the Thyssen family, [and] is property of nationals … of a designated enemy country…" Prescott was a director and shareholder in the bank.
Averell, Bert and Prescott—using Union Banking, the Hamburg-Amerika Line and other fronts and holding companies—were directly involved in the build-up of Nazi Germany. Corporate lawyer and diplomat, John Foster Dulles, his brother, OSS and CIA spymaster, Allen Dulles, and others helped supply the Third Reich with capital, financial arrangements and asset management services.
This whole arrangement was kept very quiet, marked by only a small notice in the NY Times—years later—on Dec 16, 1944: "The Union Banking Corporation, 39 Broadway, New York has received authority to change its principal place of business to 120 Broadway." No mention was made of the fact that the property had been seized for trading with the enemy, or that 120 Broadway was the Alien Property Custodian's address.
And no 'fuss' was made at all, Prescott, later a US Senator, was still a partner in Brown Brothers, Harriman and held directorships for various companies, such as CBS, Dresser Industries, Pan-American Air, Prudential, and U.S. Guaranty and Trust.
